The world has been all abuzz about the royal wedding. And British companies are taking full advantage of that in their advertising, with some attempts more ridiculous than others.

After it was revealed the Prince Harry proposed to Meghan while she was cooking a roast chicken dinner, retailer Marks and Spencer gave the packaging of their chicken salad sandwich a royal makeover in honor of the couple.

The KFC Windsor location near St. George’s Chapel, the church where the couple was wed, offered special golden wedding edition chicken buckets. The buckets were emblazoned with the U.S. and British flags, two noble chickens, and the date of the special occasion.

Grocery store Tesco featured some strange recipes on their social media channels. The mashups British and American foods, including Earl Grey Iced Tea, “Full English Nachos” and “Eaton Mess S’mores.”

SodaStream used the opportunity to raise money for charity, auctioning off special edition royal bottles, each with a different hat inspired by members of the royal family. Proceeds were donated to the Surfers Against Sewage organization.

Strongbow offered a wacky looking “Royal Rosé Teacup Set “of rosé apple cider and a hybrid goblet-tea-cup. The teacup, with its crown and apple design, would be cute were it not for the awkward goblet stem attached to its base.
