A new app dropped to day that seeks to close the gap even further between celebrity and fan.

Social media has served as a direct link between stars and their followers, and with each new service or update, the connection becomes more and more personal.  It is now a regular occurrence to see direct conversation on Twitter, and fan photos on Instagram.

Now we can all try to get personal phone calls from our favorite artist or actor with Phonio.  The app, which dropped today, allows users to sign up and request a call from a list of famous names.  The available list is short at the moment, but will grow as more celebrities join the service.
