The newest Apple operating system, OS X Yosemite, was released yesterday, following a press conference revealing a new line of iMacs and iPads.  The download is free, and boasts a laundry list of new features, on top of a complete graphical UI overhaul.

The look of the system now resembles Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS, with a flatter design.  There is greater synchronization between the iOS and OS X now, with phone calls and SMS being possible from either system, instead of just iMessage.  Emails, messages, documents, notes, and more can be started on one, and finished on another.

There are a few other changes, like the “spotlight” function highlighting more options, and the iCloud Drive, which allows storing and accessing any file in the cloud.  You can find a full list of features and the download link here.
