Australian Charlie Stewart is planning a tour of American colleges, in hopes of getting his new party app in the hands of every American college student.

A former investment banker, Stewart decided to turn his attention to founding KickOn, a full-on party app that allows someone to search their area for nearby parties, and apply for admittance.  The party organizer can then decline or accept the request, granting an e-ticket to the invitees.  The app allows allows rating of both venues and guests from one to five stars.

Stewart hopes partiers will use his app in the same way that tinder and other quick-rating apps are.  KickOn is new, but there interest is already swirling around the concept, and the app had already raised $400,000 before its debut last week.

Mashable reports that Stewart had the incentive to create KickOn in response to bars in Sydney all closing at 1:30 a.m., in order to aid the mass of people who would invariably start looking for an after-party.

The app is currently available in the iOS App Store.
